Our Mission
Equipping People to Change Their World
We’re a church family pursuing God’s presence and practicing everyday discipleship. On Sundays we gather for worship, prayer, and Bible‑based teaching that helps people know Jesus and follow Him together.
During the week we grow in Small Groups, serve on teams, and care for our community. Whether you’re exploring faith or looking for a church home, there’s a place for you at Manna.
Love God
We worship Jesus wholeheartedly and build our lives on God’s Word.
Love Each Other
We follow Jesus together in life‑giving Small Groups where care, growth, and accountability happen.
Love the World
We serve Stafford/Quantico through ongoing outreach and generosity, meeting practical needs and sharing the hope of Jesus.
Statement of Faith
We hold to historic, orthodox Christian faith centered on Jesus and guided by the Bible.
We believe in one true God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co‑equal and co‑eternal. God created all things and lovingly rules over His world. (Deut 6:4; Matt 28:19)
The Scriptures are inspired by God and are our final authority for what we believe and how we live. Through the Bible, God reveals His character and His plan of salvation. (2 Tim 3:16; Ps 119:105)
Jesus is fully God and fully man. Through His sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross, and bodily resurrection, He saves all who trust in Him. (John 1:14; 1 Cor 15:3–4)
The Spirit draws people to Jesus, gives new life, empowers believers for witness, produces Christlike character, and gives spiritual gifts for ministry. (Acts 1:8; Gal 5:22–23; 1 Cor 12)
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus—not by our own efforts. We repent, believe, and receive new life and forgiveness. (Eph 2:8–9; Acts 3:19)
Baptism is a public declaration that we belong to Jesus and are raised to new life. We baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matt 28:19; Rom 6:4)
We regularly remember Christ’s sacrifice through the Lord’s Supper, celebrating His presence and proclaiming His death until He comes. (1 Cor 11:23–26)
We depend on the Holy Spirit daily and practice spiritual gifts in love and order to build up the church and bless the world. (Acts 2; 1 Cor 14:1)
The Church is the global family of God with local expressions like ours. We gather to worship, grow in community, serve, and share the Gospel. (Eph 4:11–16; Heb 10:24–25)
God’s Kingdom is already here and still coming in fullness. Jesus will return, judge the living and the dead, and make all things new. (Matt 6:10; Rev 21:1–5; 1 Thess 4:16–17)

Executive Leadership
Pastor’s Family
Jake Johnson is a graduate of the US Naval Academy, where he received a commission as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Following a combat tour as a platoon commander in Fallujah (Operation Phantom Fury), he and his wife Danielle were stationed at Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA. They have lived in the region since that time and have served the community with passion and diligence. Following his time in the Marine Corps, Jake worked vocationally as a business leader in the defense industry for ten years.
He and Danielle also served as lay pastors at a local church where they ministered to dozens of college students and young families in the Fredericksburg/Stafford area. They also served in an oversight capacity as an Elder couple by their local church until 2019, when their pastor suggested they explore planting a church with a partner organization, Manna Church.
In June 2020, Jake became a part of the Manna Multiply Pastoral Residency in Fayetteville, NC, and since then has been focused on being equipped to plant a life-giving church in the Stafford/Quantico area. In September 2021, Jake was ordained as the Lead Pastor of Manna Church Stafford. This expression of Manna Church was launched in 2022 to serve Marine Corps Base Quantico and its surrounding communities. Jake, Danielle, and their six children (Gabriel, Dinah, Jael, Asher, Uriah, and Ezekiel) love this area and are excited to serve the people of Stafford as they share the love of Christ.
